My Mind Drifts

In youth my mind was tight
Tunnel vision focused upon each thought
No outside interference
Always more right than not
In age more clutter gathered
Exposed to outside contamination
Some of nature some man made
Injected into my thoughts in odd ways
My mind now reaching its plateau
A turning point I do not steer
Day dreams influence from within
Night dreams to complete my sins
Older now I can no longer shoulder
My mind like my skin no longer tight
Drifting in and out of focus
Some say I am no longer right
In my old age my mind drifts
My mind is here, there then everywhere
They question me in their ways of sanity
It's not so bad I think I will stay
Like learning after my birth
All that was new I absorbed like a sponge
Sight, sound and touch
All my receptors sending to my mind so much
In old age now I reverse
Half blind I refuse to see
Going deaf I am void of sound
Hands worn from calluses they deny
Setting free all that was captured by my mind
Now my mind forever drifts
Blessed not cursed
Death and I have settled my date
Dwelling in the happiness of my mind till that fate
