Immortals edition

By Stanley Jensen

Writer’s Note:

Part of my earlier works written works years ago. Hope you enjoy them.

Muscles flex and ripple

Eyes sharp with a glean

Sweat makes my skin glisten

What was once white is now bronze

Mind set as stone fortifications

Blade sharpened to extreme

Eyes glanced forward them

Finally, the heat escaped

Blood surged as we charged to kill

Thunder still rang deeply in my ears

Our charge had met a stonewall

But determination pounded upon that wall

With their flanks spilled and broken

But now I though back

How many arrows had pierced?

Sweat, blood and grit covered my hands

My back against black earth with

The dead lying about me

I smiled and stood

I am Chaos.
